The monitoring workflow

DeForsight is designed to move from a wide-area signal to a focused, explainable review.

1. Find work on the dashboard or Alerts page

Use the dashboard for a broad overview. On Alerts, search by cluster, supplier, province, or regency; filter by supplier, QC status, and date range; then switch between the map and table views to locate work. Selecting an alert opens its detail page.

2. Check the location and supplier context

Before deciding that an alert is actionable, check:

  • Alert date and the imagery acquisition window.
  • Supplier name, area of interest (AOI), and any RKT boundary available.
  • Alert source, confidence, and current QC status.
  • Whether the location falls inside the expected supplier boundary.

3. Compare the available evidence

Open the alert’s before-and-after imagery and review its detection geometry. Where available, use the Sentinel-2 preview to search a date range and inspect a composite or individual scene. A cloudier scene can obscure change; missing imagery means evidence is incomplete, not that no change occurred.

4. Record the review

Update the QC status, choose the relevant disturbance driver when appropriate, and add a note that explains the evidence and any follow-up. See Alerts and QC for status rules and geometry review.

5. Follow supplier and period summaries

Open a supplier record to review its AOI/RKT coverage, alert history, hotspots, and compliance documents. Use Reports to filter a date range, review supplier summaries, and prepare available periodic reports.

Review discipline

Separate “the system detected a change” from “the change is relevant to this supplier.” The first is a signal; the second is an investigated conclusion.
